A friend came along who had no previous kiting experience. First she took a group lesson with another company, we saw one of the students launched down the beach. Undeterred she had her first private lesson with Gusty Kite. She felt so safe and taken care of, after the first lesson she was flying the kite on beach and by the second body dragging up wind. The have a great technique that progressively teaches the new student in a very safe way.\nMy friend is now hooked on kiting of course !\nI have been kiting for 7 years or more, decided to have a lesson myself, an instructor sailed with me and corrected me attempting rotations etc.\nmy kiting has moved to a whole new level. I have spent two hours on the super tiny kite with the trainer giving me very little explanation and attention in (what was supposed to be) a semi-private lesson. I had almost no explanation of equipment and wind terminology.\n\nEven though I do understand that weather conditions in Guincho can change fast, the communication and planning with the school for kiting was very hard, so that we lost at least one afternoon, because the day before the school said we could come but upon arrival, we were told conditions were not good for kiting at all (advise: contact ppl in advance so they don’t make all the way out to Guincho for nothing). Kite equipment of the school seems not to be very well maintained nor updated.
